Jagdamba Education Society was established in with the intention of rural educational development. The society runs a network of engineering college, management college, pharmacy college, bachelor of education college, polytechnic college & paramedical courses like ANM. It is with this background to train the nurses to become competent for the first level position in nursing to provide quality care in Hospital & Community & there by contributing to the health care of country formulation that. This year we have commenced the course of B.Sc. Nursing, a degree of 4 years programme, affiliated to maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nasik (MHUS) recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council, New Delhi.
The college of nursing has excellent in infrastructural facilities, hostel facilities & library facilities. The students of the institute are exposed to the best clinical facilities available & are trained under the guidence of well qualified & dedicated teaching staff, wearing to give the best possible education & training to the students will a view to equip them for better professional & personal life.
Jagdamba Education Society’s believes in proper systematic teaching, training and research in Modern Medical Sciences and uniformity in various courses in medical and allied health sciences. The philosophy of the Basic B. B. Sc.(N) is incorporated by Jagdamba Education Society’s at par of Indian Nursing Council.
Indian Nursing Council believes that, Health is a state of well-being that enables a person to lead a psychologically, socially and economically productive life. Nursing contributes to the health services in vital and significant way in the health care delivery system. It organizes national health goals and is committed to participate in the implementation of National Health policies and programmes. It aims at identifying health needs of the people , planning and providing quality care in collaboration with other health professionals and community groups.
Scope of nursing practice encompasses provision of promotive, preventive,curative and rehabilitative aspects of care to people across their life span in wide varietyof health care settings. Practice of Nursing is based upon application of basic concepts and principles derived from the physical, biological, behavioral sciences. Undergraduate nursing program at the post basic level is a broad based education within an academic framework, which builds upon the skills and competencies acquired at the diploma level. It is specifically directed to the upgrading of critical thinking skills, competencies & standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy 2002.
The teachers have the responsibility to be role models and create learning environment that enables students to acquire inquiry driven, self directed learning and foster attitude of life long learning. Under graduate nursing education program at the post basic level prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations so as to respond to national aspirations.
